What a lovely place to spend some time…the food is far too good for the price, the drinks are the best around (something for everyone!) and the staff make you feel welcome every single time. Special mention for Shirls…always looks after me, always on point with service.

After a walk on the beach at Formby, we enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Sparrowhawk and dogs are made very welcome. Highly recommended.

We went for Sunday lunch. The roast beef couldn't be cut with an ordinary knife so asked for a steak knife which wouldn't cut it either. Told the waiter who said he'd mention it to the chef but no replacement offered.
One of us had the steak and ale pie which didn't have much steak in at all.
This place used to be good, but we won't be going back again.
